Joon Hee Lee, DAOM, L.Ac. earned his Master's degree in Oriental Medicine at Samra University of Oriental Medicine and doctorate at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.

He is NCCAOM (National Commission for the certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) certified Acupuncture and Oriental Medical practitioner and is currently licensed to practice acupuncture in the states of Oregon and California.

Joon Hee Lee was born and raised in Korea, which has retained a long-standing history of Oriental medical practice for thousands of years to present day. Fluent in Korean and English, he is also proficient in classical literary Chinese and Japanese, which has enabled him to delve into deeper aspects of Chinese medicine.

In addition to his formal education, Joon Hee has explored the diverse styles of acupuncture practiced across East Asian countries. His academic and clinical focus has also been on the classical medical texts and research, regarding in particular the most efficacious ancient herbal prescriptions best preserved in the Shang Han Lun and Jin Gui Yao Lue written 1800 years ago.

Joon Hee Lee studied with the late Gang Sun Lee, an herbal doctor who specialized in classical formula prescriptions. Through him, Joon Hee was introduced to the various works of Japanese Old Formula School and abdominal diagnosis as an essential part of patient assessment in herbal prescription writing.

Joon Hee has a full time practice in downtown Hillsboro and is currently an adjunct faculty in the Classical Chinese Medicine department at National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.
