Environment
Another important issue of health and wellness that often receives little attention is a person’s living and working environment. In Oriental medicine, human beings are closely interconnected with universe and greatly affected by their external environment.
An individual who lives within harmonious surroundings will enjoy a long prosperous life. However, another individual who lives within an unfavorable environment may experience a life complicated by ill health and deterioration. Place affected by severe geopathic stress line or electromagnetic radiation can pose serious health threat to its tenants.
Feng Shui In an effort to determine the most harmonious locations for which to live, the people of ancient China developed the art of placement and geomancy, also known as Feng Shui. In modern days, Feng Shui is often utilized to avoid misfortune and enhance good health, abundance and prosperity.
According to Feng Shui, the Qi energy(cosmic energy) within a building is equally as important as the Qi energy within the human body. The belief is that when the cosmic energy surrounding the house is abundant and energy flow within the house is unobstructed, the inhabitants will enjoy many years of sound health and vitality.
Following are a few sensible Feng Shui recommendations for good health:
- Maintain a clean house. (this will increase the Qi energy of the house) - Clear clutters from the house (clutters block the flow of Qi energy within the house in the same way that accumulated emotional stress blocks the flow of Qi in the body) - Avoid living with sensational bad Qi (ie. bad smells, bad noises, bad things in sight)
