Yes. We use only sterile disposable needles. They are used once and then discarded.
Acupuncture is designed to correct various imbalances within the body. Qi, the vital energy system in our body, is different from the nervous and blood circulatory system while also regulating them. Acupuncture needles work as antennae to correct this vital energy system which, in turn, affects our entire body function.
Because each person's condition and response to treatment are unique, the total number and frequency of treatments will vary. In general, chronic conditions take longer to resolve, while acute conditions that are short in duration may yield curative effects as few as one treatment.
Please contact our clinic at (503) 648-3236 to schedule an initial visit. During your first visit we will explore a treatment schedule that will best work with your needs.
A growing number of insurance programs cover acupuncture treatments. Consult with your insurance company for the terms of coverage in your policy.
We recommend patient to wear loose and comfortable clothing for easy access to acupuncture points. Don't skip the meal before Acupuncture treatment; however, do not eat too heavy meals just before or after your visit. Refrain from caffeine, drugs, or alcohol during the day of treatment. Avoid intense physical activity before or after your treatment. After your treatment, avoid stressful situations. Make time to relax.
